What I Can Do For You As A Digital Marketer

What I Learned

My skills as a digital marketer have grown exponentially during Mark Staton‘s digital marketing class. It’s bittersweet writing this final blog. Already, what I have learned in this class has correlated to my everyday life (Spotify wrapped talking about NFTs a week after we learned about them in class??).

I am so much more confident in my skills as a digital marketer after covering such a wide array of topics. Some of the topics we have learned about are:

  1. Google Analytics. Google Analytics are important for all digital marketers. Having a certification in Google analytics is almost a necessity these days when applying for jobs. This article also had my most likes on LinkedIn.

  2. A/B testing & CRO. A/B testing helps figure out which experience performs better with the target market. Conversion rate optimization is important to increase the rate of conversations.

  3. Inbound & Content Marketing. These are both important for creating meaningful relationships with the consumer.

  4. Organic & Paid Social Media. These were some of my favorite topics to cover. I especially love organic social media as a marketer and hope to do work in this field.

  5. SEO. This was my second most liked most on LinkedIn. I also later go into SEO in my digital activism blog.

  6. Digital Activism. I loved this blog because it allowed me to talk about a cause I’m so passionate about – why orca whales shouldn’t be in captivity. Doing research on how nonprofits marketed this cause was personally very interesting and made my blog more personal.

What blog performed best?

My best-performing blog was my Google Analytics blog, with 27 views and 11 likes. While most of these impressions are from my fellow #wwudigimark peers, it’s still exciting to see! Since it was the first blog post we had to write I was very intimidated, but looking back on it I am very proud of my work (and of course, I had to include some Twilight gifs!).

My Achievements

While taking Digital Marketing, I have obtained certifications in Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Inbound Marketing.

What I can do for you as a digital marketer.

I have experience with organic and paid social media, PPC, and graphic design. I am very interested in content marketing and branding. I am a natural leader and a self-driven learner; being self-motivated makes me stand out as I am continually trying to better myself as a marketer and as a student.

Working for a small business, I have experience not only with social media, but also PR, PPC, SEO, and local marketing.

What’s next?

With my last 2 quarters (omg) at Western fastly approaching, the start of my marketing career has never been closer. In June 2022, I will graduate Western Washington University with my Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing, and a minor in Sociology. I will continue to work as a Marketing + Social Media Coordinator at Joy of Pilates and the Social Media Coordinator of Luxe Booth NW during the remainder of my college career. I will be looking for a full-time digital marketing job where I can put all of this information I learned to good use!

Thank you so much for following along my #wwudigimark journey, until next time!
